Delivery and Assembly
We use a reputable and trusted carrier to deliver our sofas and as it is such a large piece of furniture, we will do our best to arrange a delivery date/time to suit you.
Our Green Oak Sofa is incredibly easy to assemble, not impossible with one person; and an absolute doddle with two! It will arrive flat-packed, (that term conjures up pictures of horrible furniture) but anyway, it will arrive strapped to a double sized pallet. If you're not familiar with the size of a pallet, they're about 1.2m x 1m, and this is a double one so it will be 2.4m x 1m (or 8ft x 3ft s” in old money). It will be heavy so the best bet is to cut all the packaging off and carry each piece into your house or garden individually. It normally takes two novices about 40 minutes to assemble a sofa.
You will need some basic tools to assemble your sofa, a sturdy hammer, a small saw and a piece of sandpaper. The hammer is for knocking the pegs in with, the saw is to chop them off when they're in (they're supplied over-length) and the sandpaper to smooth off any rough bits on the pegs you've just chopped off. You don't need any DIY skills to assemble your sofa and you will be supplied with a full set of step-by-step detailed instructions with drawings and photos etc.
