Using the Website
To order your sofa, contact cabbages and Kings by phone or email with your request. Cabbages & Kings Furniture will email you to confirm your product order has been received and will issue an invoice for 50% deposit. Your order will be confirmed when the depsit payment has ben received by us at which point we can confirm an estimated delivery date. We will email you again to complete the final payment and again to inform you that your sofa has been despatched to you. A contract of sale for the products you have ordered is concluded between you and Cabbages & Kings furniture upon your sofa being despatched to you, this does not affect your statutory rights.
You should be aware that when purchasing goods, you are entering a legally binding contract and that contract shall be concluded in English and that it is the UK law that is applicable. Products ordered are for personal use either by yourself or by your intended recipient(s) of the products. We reserve the right to decline any order that it has a reasonable cause to believe is for onward sale other than through distribution channels approved by Cabbages & Kings Furniture.
Payment Information
We accept credit/debit card payment through Paypal or cheques via post. The credit/debit card that you are using must be your own. All payments should be made in GBP (Sterling).
We take 50% deposit at the time of ordering. The final 50% together with any delivery charges must be received 10 days before the despatch of your sofa. Sofas that are not a standard size must be paid for in full at the time of ordering and a specific written quote will be provided for these before invoicing.
Cheque payments
If you are paying by cheque, please make cheques payable to 'Cabbages & Kings Furniture' and write your home address and cheque guarantee number and order number on the reverse of your cheque. Please do not send cash.
Delivery costs
Delivery to Mainland UK; excluding the Scottish Highlands and the far South West of England is included in the cost of the sofa. Delivery to the Scottish Highland and South West of England is charged at £55.
All other areas including off the UK coast, please email us your post code for a firm delivery quote.
We use a carrier to deliver our furniture, but we are happy to liaise with your own freight/ shipping agent if you prefer. You can also collect furniture from our workshop in Cumbria if you have an appropriate vehicle (remember the normal sized sofa of nearly 7ft long!)
For non UK destinations, are happy to use a shipping agent, please email us with your details for a quote.
Product Availability
Green Oak Sofas are made to order and lead times depend on workload and generally are longer during peak times (May to September) A delivery date is estimated at the time of ordering. If your order is likely to take longer than this, for any reason, we will contact you to ensure that you are happy with a longer delivery date. If you are not, your order can be cancelled at your request. , a refund will be issued and full refund issued.
Changing or Cancelling an Order
To change and order, simply contact Cabbages & Kings Furniture on 01931 715054 or email us on sales@greenoaksofas.co.uk You can only change or cancel on order if we have not started the construction of your sofa. If you want to change an order and we have started construction, an extra charge may be incurred for the changes and it may also effect your delivery date.
To cancel an order, simply contact Cabbages & Kings Furniture on 01931 715054 or email us on sales@greenoaksofas.co.uk If we have not started the construction of your sofa, a full refund will be given. If we have started construction of your sofa, the 50% deposit cannot be refunded, but no additional charges will be made to you.
The Nature of Green Oak
Green Oak shrinks and twists slightly as it dries. Small splits may appear as it dries and these will not affect the strength and structural integrity of your sofa. Cabbages and Kings Furniture will not accept returned sofas based on the 'look' of a piece. Any changes to the sofa that take place during the drying process that do affect the strength of your sofa will be repaired and this will not affect your statutory rights in any way.
Returns
In the unlikely event that the sofa delivered to you was incorrect or was delivered in a damaged or faulty state, please contact us immediately on 01931 715054 or email us on sales@greenoaksofas.co.uk and we will seek to rectify the problem as soon as possible. And damaged or faulty goods will of course be replaced.
